Meet Us

Allan Gandelman:

Is a former high school teacher whose passion for food and agriculture led him to end his career as a teacher and start Main Street Farms. He holds two degrees from SUNY New Paltz; a B.A. in Anthropology and an M.A. in Secondary Education. He also holds a certificate in Sustainable Agriculture from Groundswell Center For Local Food and Farming.

Bob Cat:

Before coming to work at Main Street Farms, he spent 5 years as an Outdoor Educator working for Natures Classroom all over New England. He holds a B.A. in Communication from SUNY New Paltz and also has a certificate in Sustainable Agriculture from Groundswell Center For Local Food and Farming in Ithaca. Bob Cat has also spent time WWOOFing in both Australia and in Costa Rica.

Michael Ben Timmons:

Mike Timmons is a Professor in the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. His program is centered on entrepreneurial-driven enterprise. He provides a foundation of information related to the production of aquacultured products, both fresh and saltwater, with an emphasis on sustainable and environmentally friendly engineering technologies.

 

Paula Turkon:

Paula Turkon is a Assistant Professor in the Environmental Studies Department at Ithaca College. She is also an archaeologist with research interests in botanical studies, diet, and human environmental impact.

 

Josh Bond:

Josh Bond is a senior journalism major at Ithaca College and one of the producers for 316 Productions. The combination of his academic work and extracurriculars have provided him the skills and knowledge to intern at The Howard Stern Show, Major League Baseball Advanced Media, and The Dr. Phil Show. His anticapated graduation is May 2016.

Matt Constas:

Matt Constas is a senior journalism major and producer with 316. He loves basketball, music and spending time with family and friends. You can find his multimedia journalism work on multimediamatt.wordpress.com
